With 25+ years of professional experience, Mr. O’Brien has driven performance improvement in a variety of industries, including consumer products, retail and insurance.
Selected clients include: Best Buy, Pitney Bowes, Reynolds Packaging Group, ShopNBC, Zebra Technologies, Lowe’s, Pactiv, Graham Packaging, UCI-FRAM, Ralcorp, Cardinal Health, Nationwide, Kemper, Combined Insurance, Elkay and NiSource.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. O’Brien spent five years as Managing Director at BearingPoint, where he led the National Strategic Sourcing practice and was head of the 600-person Chicago office. He also led the Allstate account for four years, completing more than 50 projects and built a Central Region Insurance practice.
Mr. O’Brien began his career at Andersen Business Consulting in 1990 and became a Partner in 2001.
He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has been both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Purchasing Manager.
