Brenden Phillips-Garrett

Mr. Phillips-Garrett brings more than 15 years of experience helping companies navigate large-scale transformations and change. Most notably, he led a corporate transformation for a listed biotechnology company that resulted in hundreds of millions of in-year cash savings against a baseline in the low billions. His work coordinated and drove a team of 70+ professionals across multiple workstreams and included reporting to the CEO and board as a key member of program leadership.
Mr. Phillips-Garrett has also led a business-focused ERP implementation at a distribution and construction client; led IT transformation for a large international chemicals company that reorganized the IT function and supporting processes, service portfolio and catalog; led analysis and savings estimation workstreams for a transformation cost-out for a major professional services provider; led a technology-focused cost optimization project for a large independent oil and gas producer; served as interim CTO of a private equity-backed payments company; led two merger integrations, including transition services agreement negotiation and successful exit, across back office services for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) client; acted as the interim IT PMO Director responsible for a $10 million portfolio of IT investments; and served as the content development lead for an IT strategy development project for an EPC client.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Phillips-Garrett held roles in brokerage firm operations and oil and gas software consulting. He was also a rural economic development volunteer for the Peace Corps in Georgia.
Mr. Phillips-Garrett earned a bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in international development studies from Point Loma Nazarene University, California, and an MBA (with honors, concentrations in finance and entrepreneurship) from Jones School of Business at Rice University, Texas. He is also a Prosci-certified Change Management Consultant.
