Mr. YoKell concentrates on manufacturing and distribution network optimization, inventory optimization, IBP and S&OP, demand forecasting and supply planning, cost to serve and product profitability, technology selection and implementation, and supply chain business process improvement.
With expertise across food and beverage, consumer and retail, distribution, industrials and other industries, Mr. YoKell has delivered $350+ million in client value creation to date.
Some of Mr. YoKell’s representative engagements include leading a supply chain planning transformation at an omni-channel retailer experiencing COVID-driven hypergrowth that included process redesign, technology selection and technology deployment. At a food manufacturer facing severe margin compression, he led a network optimization initiative that reduced annual distribution and logistics costs by 20%. At an electrical products distributor, he developed an optimized branch replenishment strategy requiring $80 million less inventory for the same service levels while reducing operating costs by $25 million yearly. Mr. YoKell has also led buy-side diligence of an alcohol beverage brand, post-merger integration for a personal care consumer products company and countless other functional assessments, root cause diagnostics, supply chain analyses and improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. YoKell served as the Practice Leader for Integrated Demand & Supply Planning with Chainalytics (now NTT Data); as the Sourcing & Supply Chain Transformation Solution Leader for Grant Thornton’s Advisory practice; and as Partner-in-Charge of Supply Chain M&A services with Grant Thornton’s Transaction Advisory practice.
Mr. YoKell earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (operations research concentration) and a master’s degree in operations research and industrial engineering from Cornell University. He was named a “Top 25 Operations Consultant and Leader” by The Consulting Report, and a “Provider Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
