Baris Goencue is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Transformation Services in Munich. With over 20 years of experience in operational transformation, he specializes in manufacturing turnaround, operational cost reduction, production strategy, footprint optimization, and organizational transformation of indirect areas.
Throughout his career, Mr. Goencue has worked with clients across a range of industries, including automotive, industrial goods, and aerospace. He has successfully led operational transformation initiatives and quality management systems for numerous clients in Europe.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Goencue worked with a leading global services firm, where he concentrated on operational value creation, plant turnarounds, manufacturing footprint optimization, and various cost reduction initiatives. In addition, he took interim COO roles for mid-sized German manufacturing companies.
Previously, Mr. Goencue worked with Porsche Consulting’s automotive group. He specialized in large-scale, holistic turnaround programs and reorganization activities, providing clients with hands-on support in critical situations related to production and supply chain issues.
Mr. Goencue earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Boğaziçi University and an MBA from the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA program.
