With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Khazaei has held C-level positions, providing leadership for established media companies, startups, turnarounds and management consulting organizations, including Booz Allen Hamilton, where he began his career.
Mr. Khazaei’s accomplishments include the digital transformation of HarperCollins Publishers from a print-only to an industry leader in digital publishing and online marketing; the turnaround of a digital joint venture of leading trade book publishers and guidance to the board of directors through the sale of the company; and the origination of consulting clients/partnerships that led to $100 million in revenue over four years.
As a trusted advisor, Mr. Khazaei has worked across industries, including publishing, information services, news, music labels, cable networks and software/SaaS. Most recently, he drove the transformation of the led-to-cash, operations, data and systems of an iconic information services provider. Previously, he guided a national newspaper publisher through the transformation and re-launch of their digital properties to drive continuous increases in digital subscribers and ad rates. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Khazaei led multiple digital media and ecommerce startups backed by VC and corporate investors.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Khazaei spent over five years with IBM Consulting in New York, where he served as the Lead Client Partner for key accounts in information services, publishing and other media segments. He won the trust of and signed on major new accounts and worked with them to transform key areas of their businesses, including finance, sales, lead-to-cash, mobile apps, application of AI / ML to data and content supply chains, business automation, and new product/service strategy, design, and rollout.
Mr. Khazaei earned bachelors’ degrees in economics and comparative literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
