Ms. Chopra brings more than 20 years of experience in brand, marketing, business strategy and management, as well as ESG experience across FMCG, retail and online businesses. This includes Nestle, YUM brands (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell), Costa Coffee and Lenskart.com, spanning a wide range of markets across India, the U.K., Europe, MENA and Southeast Asia. Her expertise lies in new business launches/set-up, business scale up, transformation, new market entry and building powerful brands via strong brand DNA articulation.
Ms. Chopra’s notable assignments include leading the launch of a new business at Nestle India, Breakfast Cereals, and successfully running it to deliver key KPIs of sales and operating profit; building teams, business strategy, product portfolio, brands, distribution, pricing strategy, packaging, channels and communication with strong penetration and reach across 53 towns and 60,000+ stores; and supporting Lenskart’s early growth as its Chief Strategy and Chief Marketing Officer.
Additionally, Ms. Chopra has defined and articulated the brand DNA for Lenskart; led business and regional marketing strategy for Costa Coffee stores in 26 countries across MENA, Southeast Asia and India; re-articulated the global brand positioning/DNA for Costa Coffee to aid strong global expansion; and led new market entry for Costa Coffee’s foray into France, the Philippines and Kazakhstan, as well as transformation for Costa in Poland.
Furthermore, Ms. Chopra led the turnaround of the Pizza Hut brand in India through launch of a WOW price point layer (Rs. 50 pizza/Pan4All); built the afternoon day part for KFC globally via conceptualization and launch of KFC Krushers; led the strategy, product, pricing and launch positioning for Taco Bell in India and launched it successfully in key metros cities in India; set up and drove Nestle’s sustainability agenda across South Asia; led key projects in the areas of sustainable sourcing, packaging, manufacturing, communication, afforestation and operations optimization; and set up NPD guidelines to make Nestle’s portfolio more sustainable.
Ms. Chopra earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Sri Ram College of Commerce and an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi. She was rated amongst 25 women in Indian business by Economic Times.
