Mr. Kumar has led more than 100 IT diligence projects and several technology carve-out and merger integration projects for a variety of private equity clients. Highlights of Mr. Kumar’s engagements include:
Leading the technology carve-out of a midmarket software development company from a $1 billion plus parent company with a focus on separation of 10 plus business systems, two data centers and hiring of 14 IT staff; leading over 50 pre-acquisition diligences of software development and tech-enabled companies in assessing software architecture’s ability to support the scalability, reliability and serviceability requirements and assessing the development processes for coding, testing and release management; and managing pre-acquisition IT synergy analysis and diligence and providing support for TSA negotiation for a leading stock exchange’s acquisition of an Investor Relations and Multimedia Solutions business.
He led the pre-acquisition IT synergy analysis and due diligence for a $1 billion plus revenue-unified communication services company that was evaluating acquisition of an industry competitor. He also led the SG&A assessment for a global product design and engineering company with a focus on benchmarking current service delivery model and identifying alternative service delivery models that might better support organizational changes.
Before joining A&M, Mr. Kumar served as Managing Director at IVG Partners where he led merger integration and private equity due diligence projects for clients in the technology and business services industries. Mr. Kumar also worked as a Senior Manager at KPMG Consulting’s Media and Content practice where he led large scale technology projects, application and infrastructure optimization strategy for media companies. At KPMG Consulting, he designed and developed a royalty collection and distribution system that disburses $700 million in royalties every year on behalf of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
Mr. Kumar earned a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School in New York and a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from BIT Mesra, India.
