Andy Pfeffer is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Holdings LLC in Atlanta.

Andy leads A&M's Insight Center (Global Research Function) and specializes in designing and leading fact-based business intelligence capabilities. The mission of A&M's Insight Center is to provide our professionals and our client executives with highly relevant, industry specific, actionable, fact-based insights derived through proprietary empirical studies and research on a global basis, and to drive thought leadership, support business development and client projects.

Mr. Pfeffer has more than 20 years of experience including Big Four consulting, industry practitioner expertise and boutique specialty consulting services. His career accomplishments include designing and leading benchmarking services and executive advisory programs, performing large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations, along with process transformations in the retail, telecom and state government sectors.

He has also operated his own technology services consulting company, leading software development teams supporting complex ERP programs.

Mr. Pfeffer was one of the founding members of Deloitte Consulting’s Global Benchmarking Center which was developed to provide industry-specific, fact-based data and relevant, actionable insights to enable and inform C-level clients’ strategic decision making. The platform and services were built on the premise of significant scalability and leverage through consistent, repeatable processes, highly secure technologies, automation and self-service capabilities. In the six years after the center’s inception, over 3,000 clients participated globally in custom studies creating a rich repository of proprietary performance data and insights.

Mr. Pfeffer served as a director, senior business adviser and program manager with The Hackett Group, where he designed, built and managed a subscription-based executive advisory program and benchmark study. The capabilities were tailored to client executives needing fact-based data, insights and advice on how to optimize their ERP investments and realize the return on investment of their original business cases.

He also served as a consulting leader with Meridian Systems Consulting, providing program management and team leadership on complex ERP implementations, upgrades and customizations to meet global clients’ unique requirements.

Mr. Pfeffer earned a bachelor of science degree in international business from the University of Wisconsin (Madison).
