Andreas Hartmann

Dr. Hartmann brings expertise across the healthcare landscape, including payers, providers, pharma, medtech, and health systems. He has served clients from public sector and government centers to private equity and investment companies, multinational corporations, and non-profits. He focuses on corporate and national growth and investment strategies, public and private partnerships, value-based healthcare, and large-scale transformations. He has led high-impact projects across international markets, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the United Arab Emirates, Germany, the Nordics, the U.S., and the U.K.
Dr. Hartmann’s notable engagements include developing a five-year growth strategy for a private provider in a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country to achieve AED 500 million (+60%) top-line growth and 20–25% EBITDA margins; conducting due diligence for a private equity investor in KSA with impact analysis of localization requirements; and leading the development and implementation of AI solutions for healthcare clients in Germany and the Middle East. He also reviewed a GCC country’s health insurance system, developing a reform program with 19–26% savings potential by 2030, and piloted an analytical engine to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse, identifying 5–8% total savings potential. Additionally, Dr. Hartmann created business plans for biotech companies to localize vaccine and biologics manufacturing in KSA and developed a quality concept for a pay-for-performance reimbursement model based on patient-reported outcome measurement.
Prior to A&M, Dr. Hartmann held leadership roles at Boston Consulting Group in the Middle East and Germany. Before consulting, Dr. Hartmann was an Anesthesiologist and Emergency Doctor at the University Hospital Heidelberg, Germany, where he performed 2,500+ medical procedures.
Dr. Hartmann earned his master’s degree in business administration and economics from the University of Hagen, Germany and an MD from the University of Regensburg. He has published articles and participated in events on topics such as hybrid care, (digital) healthcare transformation, patient-centric health sectors, and cost management in healthcare.
