Ms. Jakes helps clients understand and assess the options available to them when dealing with financial stress or underperformance. She helps them develop detailed contingency plans and execute solutions using formal insolvency appointments if appropriate. Ms. Jakes understands how challenging distressed situations can be for all stakeholders, and she takes a hands-on approach to provide support to her clients.
Ms. Jakes has worked with clients in various sectors including financial services, technology, healthcare, hotels and tour operators.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Jakes worked for a Big Four London restructuring team where she was involved in high-profile situations, including the administration of a UK-headquartered shopping centre group and the Special Administration of MF Global. Following the European financial crisis, she spent more than four years in Cyprus working within a high NPL Bank to recover value from its portfolio using insolvency processes and litigation when consensual options had failed.
Ms. Jakes is a licensed insolvency practitioner and a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3)
