Ali Taher

Mr. Taher’s has worked with clients across a range of industries, including construction, real estate, industrials and healthcare.
Most recently, Mr. Taher advised a major KSA public sector entity in relation to its feasibility assessment of a commercial composting project. This included an assessment of the market demand, detailed understanding and assessment of the planned operating model, detailed build-up of project costs and capital requirements, assessment of financial returns and structure of the joint venture to manage the project.
Additionally, Mr. Taher has advised a major UAE family-owned construction and transportation group, which included business strategy, operating model and organizational structure and the preparation and presentation of a performance improvement plan. The assignment also included a deep dive financial analysis of the profitability of individual business units to advise on future focus areas. Furthermore, Mr. Taher advised a UAE conglomerate which operated across numerous sectors, assessing the group capital structure, which led to a bottom-up cost savings plan to help the group develop a more sustainable operating model.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Taher spent more than 14 years with Deloitte, where he most recently served as Director in the Financial Advisory team in Abu Dhabi. He advised several Tier 1 Abu Dhabi public sector clients on major M&A transactions and led numerous performance improvement engagements, including cost optimization, strategic options analysis, business diagnostic and value creation initiatives.
Mr. Taher earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the American University of Beirut. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. A Canadian (of Lebanese origin), Mr. Taher is fluent in English and Arabic.
