Al Carnrite is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal U.S. Energy in Houston. He specializes in corporate strategy, turnarounds and restructuring, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and operational improvement. 

With more than 40 years of consulting and industry experience, Mr. Carnrite is a trusted advisor to executive level clients across various industries, including energy, industrials, and private equity. He has led engagements on six continents and has worked recently with clients in integrated energy, independent exploration and production, energy services, manufacturing, and several of the world’s largest private equity groups.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Carnrite spent 31 years as Chief Executive Officer with The Carnrite Group in Houston. In addition to founding The Carnrite Group, he has held senior leadership positions in consulting, industry, and finance, including serving as Senior Managing Director at Randall & Dewey, later acquired by multinational investment bank Jefferies; as CEO of Trinity River Energy, an independent E&P company with assets in the U.S.; as CEO of Epic Integrated Services, an electrical and automation company; and as CEO of Sterling Consulting Group. 

Mr. Carnrite began his career at PetroCanada, where he led the upstream component of its privatization.
