Adam Scheele

Mr. Scheele brings in-depth knowledge of multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax issues, specializing in audit defense, reverse audits and taxability reviews, research, tax planning, ruling requests, and indirect tax consulting. He has worked with clients across various industries, including oil and gas, manufacturing, EPC contractors, and technology.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Scheele was with EY where he focused on growing the sales and use tax practice, leading the firm’s indirect tax strategy for the oil and gas industry sector. He advised on multi-state sales and use tax audit defense and reverse audits for several of the firm’s most prominent clients. In addition, he worked with companies on successfully extracting relevant data from their ERP systems for indirect tax projects. He also acted as the functional liaison between the IT and tax departments to extract, manipulate, and compile source data into reconciled data files.
Mr. Scheele earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University. He is a frequent speaker on indirect tax topics at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, American Petroleum Institute, Council on State Taxation, and Tax Executives Institute conferences.
