Dr. Malamut specializes in reinventing customer and employee experiences, advancing digital and data transformation, optimizing HR operations for profitable growth, and leading high-impact business ventures, including M&A execution. His career—spanning Senior Executive roles at multiple Fortune 500 companies—demonstrates a rare ability to translate strategy into pragmatic execution, accelerating growth and market leadership.
Before joining A&M, Dr. Malamut served as Senior Vice President of Organization and Talent Advisory at The Allstate Corporation where he led enterprise-wide talent and organizational effectiveness strategies. He played a pivotal role in architecting Allstate’s customer-centric digital transformation, including the design and launch of the company’s first Enterprise Customer Experience function. He also led the HR strategy behind $8 billion in M&A transactions and complex business process outsourcing initiatives.
Previously, Dr. Malamut spent 19 years at Marriott International in leadership roles, including serving as the company’s first Chief Customer Experience Officer. In this capacity, he shaped the company’s travel platform growth strategy underlying Marriott Bonvoy, spearheaded consumer insight and data strategies, and launched new business ventures such as Marriott’s home-sharing and tours/activities businesses. As Chief Talent Officer, he oversaw global learning and development, crafting talent management and service culture strategies tailored to each brand and deployed across Marriott’s worldwide portfolio.
Dr. Malamut earned a bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in industrial/organizational psychology from The George Washington University. His research on culture formation and measurement strategies was supported by a multi-year grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation.
