Abhijit Ghosh is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Singapore. He leads A&M’s Southeast Asia Tax practice. Mr. Ghosh brings 35 years of experience in business planning, corporate governance, and international tax structuring. 

Mr. Ghosh primarily focuses on advising and assisting various multinational corporations, large corporates, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), family offices, and global non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as they expand their operations in Asia–Pacific (APAC). He has served clients across various industries, including pharma and medtech, high-tech, telecoms, fast-moving consumer goods, industrial products, and private equity, among others. Mr. Ghosh has played a key role in assisting various American, European, and Asian corporate houses and NGOs in setting up international headquarters in APAC. He maintains close working relationships with economic development agencies in various southeast Asian countries and helps clients to access relevant government support.

Mr. Ghosh’s notable assignments include advising Nu Skin from a tax and transfer pricing perspective as the company set up its regional headquarters in Singapore and expanded its distribution and supply chain operations in the APAC region. This work also required him to help with tax incentive planning and bilateral pricing negotiations for upfront tax certainty. Mr. Ghosh also advised Mead Johnson Nutrition on its corporate tax structuring and compliance while it set up its base powder manufacturing plant and regional distribution hub in Singapore.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ghosh spent 28 years with PwC Singapore, where he served as a Tax Market Leader and a Senior Tax Partner.

Mr. Ghosh earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (first-class) from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai and an executive MBA in e-commerce from University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He is also a Chartered Accountant and Accredited Tax Advisor (income tax) with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals. Mr. Ghosh serves as a board member and senior member of the audit committee for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Singapore, a board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN), and Vice Chairman for the Board for the Teaching and Testing of South Asian Languages (BTTSAL).
