Mr. Wells has extensive experience in operational and financial analysis, financial forecasting, cash management, business plan formation and feasibility, fraudulent conveyance and insolvency work, debt restructuring and business valuations. He has advised on or served in management positions involving numerous turnaround engagements, including Chapter 11 and 7 proceedings.

Mr. Wells has worked in various industries, including investment management, construction, restaurants, natural resources, healthcare, banking, real estate development, retail, concert promotion, private universities, hotels/gaming, and manufacturing/distribution.

Mr. Wells has been involved in many financial restructurings and debt amendments, formulating financial projections, business liquidations, help in asset sales, preparation of confidential information memorandums and business plans, evaluation of bankruptcy claims, creating liquidation analyses, assessing solvency, and performing financial restatements and industry/market evaluations.

Mr. Wells has served in various management capacities including, but not limited to, CRO and CFO, for a broad range of clients including Katerra; Kona Grill; Real Mex, Healthsouth; Highland Crusader Offshore Partners, LP; Washington Mutual; USC Care; and WPAH. His financial advisory roles include Denbury Resources, Furniture Brands, Smile Brands, and Conexant Systems, which was named “Restructuring of the Year” by the M&A Advisor.

Mr. Wells earned a bachelor's degree (summa cum laude) in finance, accounting and entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Arizona, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). Mr. Wells is member of the AICPA, the Arizona Society of CPAs, the Association of Investment Management and Research, the Phoenix Society of Chartered Financial Analysts, the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association, and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
