With more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, Mr. Cowles is an experienced investment banker and industry leader with extensive knowledge of public markets. He is an expert in advising public companies and companies preparing to go public. He has been involved in raising over £5 billion of equity in the past 15 years. 

Mr. Cowles has served as a trusted adviser to many public company boards, founders, management teams, and private equity sponsors. He has advised on hundreds of stock market transactions, including over 50 IPOs.  

Mr. Cowles also has a long track record in M&A for both public and private companies, including many high-profile public company takeovers. In particular, he has an extensive track record of providing defense and strategic advisory services to public companies. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Cowles spent over 22 years in investment banking at Zeus Capital, most recently serving as the company’s CEO. Under his leadership, Zeus delivered many high-profile public market transactions. Mr. Cowles also led and integrated the successful acquisition of a competing business. 

Mr. Cowles earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from the University of Liverpool. He has been approved by the London Stock Exchange as a Qualified Executive to advise public companies for over 15 years.
