Mr. Drissen specializes in commercial diligence, M&A, strategic advisory, and performance improvement and has worked across the majority of commercial real estate asset classes, focusing on hotel, multifamily, and office. He has led multiple buy-and sell-side commercial diligences and advised on several of the industry’s recent landmark transactions, including the sale of the citizenM brand to Marriott International, the initial sale of Motel One, and several cross-border investments in US property developers.

In addition to his pre-deal and diligence work, Mr. Drissen has led and worked on multiple performance improvement engagements for hotel owners, operators, and brands, and supported investment strategy, refinancing, and capital raises for multifamily developers in the US.

Prior to joining A&M’s Real Estate team in New York, Mr. Drissen was a Director with the Travel, Hospitality and Leisure team in London and ran the UK subsidiary of a German consumer goods manufacturer.

Mr. Drissen earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in international business from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, the Netherlands and an MBA from the University of Cambridge, UK. He has lived and worked in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, the UK, and the US and is fluent in English, German, and Dutch.
