Geoff Hayes
Mr. Hayes specializes in M&A, corporate finance, and transaction due diligence. His primary areas of concentration are buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, financial modeling, and sale and purchase agreement transaction support. Mr. Hayes works closely with private equity, pension fund, and corporate clients as they evaluate investment decisions in infrastructure, energy, and natural resources.
With more than 25 years of industry and advisory experience, Mr. Hayes has advised on more than 150 transactions globally, with an aggregate deal value of over $50 billion. He has worked with clients across infrastructure, energy, and natural resources sectors and asset classes, including transportation, digital infrastructure, power and utilities, renewable energy, and mining. He has also previously led the finance function for a $25 billion portfolio of mining, energy, and infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hayes spent 10 years with KPMG Canada, where he most recently served as a Partner in the Deal Advisory Infrastructure Investments practice. Prior to that, he led finance functions in-house at Barrick Mining Corporation and Magna Entertainment Corporation and worked as a financial advisor and auditor at Deloitte.
Mr. Hayes earned a master’s degree in accounting from the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) designated in Ontario, Canada.
