Cory Terry
Mr. Terry specializes in outbound international tax planning and cross-border M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, post-deal integration, spin-offs, and internal reorganizations.
Mr. Terry has led end-to-end restructurings for complex, multinational organizations, partnering with tax teams and other corporate stakeholders, including treasury, legal, and accounting, to deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions.
Mr. Terry’s notable accomplishments include serving as the tax lead for acquisitions totaling over $50 billion in enterprise value and leading the spin-off of a $19 billion business across over 80 countries. He has extensive international tax technical expertise, including in the areas of foreign tax credit planning, cross-border M&A, and provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). He also has significant experience working with the Pillar 2 rules and advising on US tax policy. He has worked across a diverse group of industries, including technology, financial services, media, and leasing.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Terry spent eight years with IBM, where he served as Vice President and Head of International Tax, leading the company’s international and M&A tax teams. Before that, he spent 11 years with PwC in New York, advising large US multinational companies on cross-border M&A, foreign tax credit, and cash repatriation issues. During this time, he also spent two years with PwC’s Washington National Tax Group focusing on complex outbound international tax solutions.
Mr. Terry earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in taxation from Florida State University.
