Daniel Mahler
Mr. Mahler’s notable engagements include designing and executing multiyear restructuring programs; leading the professionalization of a profit-accretive corporate sales channel; designing and aligning a company to an Amazon launch strategy and implementation plan; achieving quality of revenue improvement at a firm globally, with a focus on the Chinese consumer market; creating and co-leading an industry-leading Chinese consumer governance process; and numerous transformation achievements in redesigning product launch and collaboration processes, as well as improving enterprise risk management.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mahler served as Executive Vice President at Estée Lauder Companies in New York. As a key partner to the CEO, he drove both short-term operational execution and long-term direction setting. While there, Mr. Mahler led the company’s Operating Committee and was a member of the Executive Committee, roles which included reviewing enterprise-integrated business planning (corporate sales and operations planning) and the monthly estimate process to category portfolio and innovation priority management. He also supported the Chief Financial Officer and CEO in guidance setting and aligning the team on the enterprise long-range financial plan and worked on the setting and execution of key transformation priorities and leadership of the company’s geopolitical risk management process.
Before that, Mr. Mahler spent 20 years at Kearney, including in the role of Head of the Americas. While there, he directly managed 40% of the firm’s global profit and loss statement and oversaw the operations of 1,000 consultants across 12 offices.
Mr. Mahler earned a master’s degree and PhD in communications from the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. He was previously a member of the advisory board of the NPD Group (the predecessor company of the global market research firm Circana) and a member of the board of trustees of the Opera Foundation in New York. He is a founding member and co-president of the Klosters Future Foundation in Klosters, Switzerland.
