Justin Shoemaker is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Vancouver and Toronto. He provides advisory services on Canadian federal income tax matters with a particular focus on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Shoemaker has more than nine years of experience advising Canadian pension plans, private equity funds, and leading public and private companies with respect to Canadian tax matters.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Shoemaker practiced tax law at a leading Canadian national law firm.

Mr. Shoemaker earned his JD from the University of Toronto and was called to the Bar in Ontario and British Columbia. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers’ “Ones to Watch in Canada” for his work in the area of tax law.
