Kimberly Rochat
With more than 30 years of compensation consulting experience, Dr. Rochat focuses on competitive assessments of executive and employee pay and the development of rewards strategies and programs to support desired culture and business objectives, including annual bonus and long-term incentive plans. From small businesses to Fortune 100 companies, her clients span technology, gaming, entertainment, media, life sciences, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare, as well as philanthropic and other nonprofit organizations.
Dr. Rochat also assists clients with compensation compliance reviews and development of compensation programs to scale as they grow or prepare to go public. She supports clients through transactions by performing due diligence around compensation programs, designing incentive programs to support key employee retention and achievement of M&A milestones, and developing rewards programs and implementation strategies for post-transaction integration. She also conducts pay equity studies and helps organizations update programs to support pay transparency, employee development, and engagement.
Prior to joining A&M, Dr. Rochat spent over five years as Managing Director at The Croner Company, where she led the Consulting practice, providing compensation assistance to for-profit and nonprofit clients. She was a Principal at Cobalt Strategies, providing executive and employee compensation assistance to clients across industries. Dr. Rochat was also the Practice Leader for Performance Management and Compensation at Deloitte & Touche, LLC overseeing the San Francisco, San Jose, and Pacific Northwest practices, and Co-Leader of Compensation for the Western region of the US. Previously, Dr. Rochat spent time as a Senior Consultant at iQuantic, Inc. and a Senior Consultant in the Strategic Rewards practice at Watson Wyatt Worldwide, after starting her career at a boutique compensation consulting firm.
Dr. Rochat earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology (minors in organizational studies and rhetoric and communication) from the University of California, Davis. She earned a master’s degree and a PhD in organizational psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology – Berkeley, with her doctoral dissertation focused on employee incentive programs.
