David Perez

Mr. Pérez’s primary areas of focus are buy- and sell-side customer due diligence (CDD), rapid value acceleration projects, and transformations. Mr. Pérez has extensive experience in healthcare supporting corporates and investors with value creation. He brings deep expertise across the pharmaceutical, medical technology, healthcare services, and animal health sectors. He has supported several private equity funds with developing thematic investment strategies in healthcare and has conducted over 300 buy- and sell-side CDDs.
Mr. Pérez is experienced in supporting clients with top-line growth generation and has helped clients on topics such as growth and internationalization strategy, market access strategy, product launch preparation, and go-to-market acceleration. Examples include supporting a hospital group with market expansion into Europe, supporting a medical device company in building a direct-to-patient sales model that boosted revenue by 10%, and helping a pharmaceutical company with sales force segmentation and targeting that increased revenue by 15%.
Mr. Pérez has hands-on experience of driving operational improvement for portfolio companies. This includes supporting a medical device company in developing and implementing a €100 million margin expansion program, leading the transformation of a medical supplies company to realize savings of 20% of the cost base, and leading and implementing a margin improvement program for a client to realize a 15% reduction of the cost base and improve pricing and margins.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Pérez spent 20 years with Boston Consulting Group, serving most notably as Managing Partner and Director. He also led its Private Equity practice in the Nordics.
Mr. Pérez earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering and business management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology as well as a master’s degree in business administration and economics from Stockholm University. A Swedish national, Mr. Pérez is fluent in Swedish, English, and Spanish.
