Stephan Brücher is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Finance in Zurich. He leads A&M’s Corporate Finance practice in Switzerland.

Mr. Brücher brings 30 years of experience in the finance industry. A seasoned M&A professional, he has worked on hundreds of projects and transactions for corporates, families, and private equity investors across a range of industries, including industrials, business services, consumer, technology, financial services, and life sciences and healthcare.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Brücher was the main owner and CEO of Avela Capital Advisors, a Swiss M&A advisory firm whose team subsequently became A&M’s Corporate Finance practice in Switzerland. Before that, Mr. Brücher served in senior leadership roles at Deloitte and BNP Paribas. He also previously co-founded and was a Managing Director at one of Switzerland’s premier mid-market corporate finance advisory firms through roles at Arthur Andersen, EY, Sal. Oppenheim, and Leonardo & Co. Mr. Brücher started his career at UBS London in the 1990s.

Mr. Brücher earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Augsburg and a master’s in management from ESCP Business School, where he studied in Paris, Oxford, and Berlin. A Swiss, German, and French national, he is fluent in five languages.
