David Hall

Mr. Hall is an expert on damages and has prepared and analyzed many damages claims including lost profits, diminution of value, unjust enrichment, benefit of the bargain, reasonable royalty, and other damage measures. His expertise and experience also include business and asset valuations, solvency analyses, breach of contract litigation, financial causation, business interruption claims, intellectual property damages (patent, trademark, trade secrets), class-action damages, and construction contract changed work and termination claims. Mr. Hall has advised clients across various industries, including aerospace, agribusiness, construction, energy, government contracts, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, real estate, securities, software/web-based business and telecommunications.
Mr. Hall has performed forensic accounting and fraud investigations in a variety of contexts including sources and uses of funds analyses, board-directed investigation, as well as compliance assessments related to SEC and other U.S. agency inquiries. He has assisted clients in both litigation and non-litigation matters and has testified as an expert witness on damages and business valuations in more than 90 matters in the U.S. and Canada, including more than 45 trials and arbitrations. He has also served as an arbitrator.
Mr. Hall earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA (highest honors) from the University of Texas at Austin. A Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Mr. Hall is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, the National Contract Management Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
