Nick Grossi is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring & Turnaround in Chicago. With more than 17 years of restructuring experience, he is an experienced advisor to boards, creditors and companies in distressed situations. Mr. Grossi specializes in treasury management, cash flow forecasting and cash monitoring program development, business plan preparation and review, evaluation of operational and organizational issues, stakeholder negotiations and recapitalization alternatives.

Mr. Grossi currently serves as CFO of Silicon Valley Bank Financial Group, responsible for managing the treasury, accounting, financial planning, reporting and risk management functions. Previously, he served as Interim Treasurer for the world’s largest producer and recycler of lead, the only global company that offers a closed recycling loop for lead-acid batteries. He led global working capital improvements, cash management redesign, liquidity forecasting, insurable risk management, derivative hedging and the divestiture of non-performing assets.    

Mr. Grossi's other notable assignments include Seadrill Ltd., a top global offshore oil and gas driller headquartered in London and listed on the NYSE and OSLO stock exchanges. He led the global cash management function, developing and maintaining a 13-week cash forecast, devising the company’s cash management system consistent with security and collateral requirements of key stakeholders and the company's operational requirements, establishing processes and controls around its treasury function and supporting the negotiation of a restructuring support agreement that served as the framework for the plan of reorganization.  

Previously, Mr. Grossi worked with Windstream Holdings, Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc., Exide Technologies, UCI International, Verso Corporation, Bank of America, Chemtura Corporation, the New York Department of Education and Global Power. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Grossi served as a market maker with Lakota Trading, an equity options trading firm on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. 

Mr. Grossi earned a bachelor's degree in management from Purdue University and an MBA from DePaul University. He has been recognized as a Certified Turnaround Professional by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
