Nikunj Thakkar is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in London. He brings more than 11 years of financial diligence experience relating to transactions in both Europe and India.

Mr. Thakkar has worked with private equity and corporate clients across a range of industries, including industrials sector industry, aerospace, and defense, as well as consumer goods and professional services. He also has experience of providing refinancing support and managing vendor assist due diligence projects.

Notably, Mr. Thakkar supported Oaktree Capital Management in its disposal of a global offshore asset rental and renewable energy business and a global crewing business; similarly, he helped PX3 Partners invest in a carve-out filtration business and multiple bolt-ons thereafter. His other major assignments include supporting Warren Equity Partners during its investment in First Mile, L Catterton during its investment in Razor Group, and Platinum Equity during its proposed investment in a distribution business and a maintenance, repair, and operations business.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Thakkar spent 12 years with KPMG, where he most recently served as an Associate Director with the Private Equity Transaction Services Group. During his time at KPMG, Mr. Thakkar also worked on various financial due diligence engagements in India, where he focused on supporting KPMG’s clients in the healthcare sector.

Mr. Thakkar earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the Indira Gandhi National Open University and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is an Indian national.
