Alex Williams is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Valuations in Sydney. She specializes in the valuation of companies, equity interests, and intangible assets.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Williams has concentrated on valuations for over 16 years across Australia and the U.K./Europe. She provides valuations for financial reporting, tax, structuring, transaction, strategic, independent expert, and dispute purposes.

Ms. Williams has worked with clients spanning various industries, including asset management, entertainment, health, infrastructure, media, private equity/venture/funds, technology, and real estate.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Williams served as a Director in the EY Australia Valuation, Modeling & Economics practice, having spent 20 years with EY. Most recently, she played an integral role in the establishment of the Australian firm’s venture/start-up valuation capability.

Ms. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (accounting and finance) from the University of New South Wales. She is a Chartered Accountant and member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
