Stefan Rathausky

Mr. Rathausky has held large-scale profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, managed complex transformations, and is experienced in developing and executing high-stake turnaround programs and operational restructurings. He has worked in various countries (such as China) and industries, including industrial goods, manufacturing, process industries, advanced materials, logistics, food, and automotive.
Mr. Rathausky’s client engagements include revenue growth and commercial plans, cost reductions, and earnings improvement programs. Some of his more specific engagements include the unwinding of a €400 million investment program to protect liquidity in the chemical industry and a cost reduction, including manufacturing footprint optimization, in the industrial goods sector.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Rathausky was with a global industrial leader in advanced materials and manufacturing, where he held multiple roles, including: leading an M&A transaction, which led to the listing of the combined entity on the London Stock Exchange; formulating the sustainability strategy and building the ESG team; and assuming P&L responsibility for a circa €1 billion division and guiding it through the pandemic to record results.
Additionally, Mr. Rathausky spent five years with a world-leading specialty chemicals business in Geneva. He built corporate strategy, managed the M&A pipeline, and ultimately led a holistic operational restructuring program of one of its divisions, leading to a multimillion EBITDA improvement.
Mr. Rathausky earned a master’s degree in technical physics from TU Vienna, a master’s degree in general engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne. He also completed an advanced management program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Rathausky serves on the foundation board of an Austrian multibillion family business that is active in logistics, industrial production, and real estate. An Austrian national, he is fluent in German (native), English, and French.
