Mr. Desmaretz has worked in close collaboration with corporate decision makers supporting government organizations and incentives agencies across the globe, in both developed and emerging business locations. He has spearheaded numerous projects aimed at optimizing operational footprints, ensuring cost efficiency, and enhancing supply chain resilience, and his strategies help businesses navigate complex geopolitical risks and market uncertainties.

Mr. Desmaretz integrates comprehensive financial and operational analysis with a focus on profitability, sustainability and long-term value creation. He has led transformations in industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to automotive and food manufacturing. His notable engagements include overseeing the design of a global R&D and production footprint following PE investment, guiding the company’s expansion across Europe, the U.S., and beyond. Mr. Desmaretz also conducted a feasibility review of in-house manufacturing in India versus China and provided strategic recommendations to optimize manufacturing strategy.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Desmaretz spent 27 years with PwC Strategy & Operations and IBM Business Consulting Services, leading improvement projects across value chain activities in both production and service industries.

Mr. Desmaretz earned a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of Antwerp with a post-master's specialization in fiscal and financial Management. He is a full member of the prestigious Site Selectors Guild, an acknowledgment of his two decades of professional site selection and advisory work.
