Jay Campbell is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Energy in Houston. He has more than 20 years of consulting experience focused on performance improvement and transformation across upstream, midstream, and oilfield services.

Mr. Campbell specializes in complex post-merger integrations, synergy realization, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives to improve cash flow, operational effectiveness, and asset productivity. He has led initiatives across the energy value chain involving organizational design, cost reduction (operating expenses and G&A), asset optimization, and third-party spend management.

Mr. Campbell’s work includes integration and transformation for both public and private exploration and production operators, synergy capture in midstream combinations, and operating model redesign for acquired assets. He also brings experience from adjacent sectors such as oilfield services, environmental services, and manufacturing, and advises on operational performance, G&A efficiency, and supply chain strategy.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Campbell served as Operating Partner and Chief Operating Officer for a fabrication company in the drilling sector, where he implemented Lean practices to drive operational improvement. He also worked with Deloitte in Houston, where he supported supply chain and operational initiatives across industrial sectors.

Mr. Campbell earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where he received the William Michael Shermet Award. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
