A&M M&A Services Team Supports 'Backpacks for Hope' with Texas Advocacy Project
The A&M M&A Services team recently supported the Texas Advocacy Project (TAP) for the 'Backpacks for Hope' initiative, a collaborative effort resulting in nearly 400 backpacks filled with essential supplies and care items for children residing in domestic violence shelters.
Jeffrey Klein, a Managing Director (MD) with A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice noted, "The A&M MAS-STS team was proud to support the Texas Advocacy Project's (TAP) 'Backpacks for Hope' campaign during our team building event this past June. Supporting our local communities and charities are an important component to many of our in-person gatherings and enable us to give back to important causes such as TAP." Matt Bryce, MD, PEPI, underscored the importance of this initiative, stating, "This effort embodies A&M's commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need." Jeff Shaffer, MD, PEPI, added, “A&M is committed to giving back to the community and appreciates the dedication of the TAP program to enhance the community. It is an important aspect of our culture.”
The team's involvement provided crucial support to students while also fostering a stronger connection between the volunteers and the community they serve. Nico Bascunan, a Senior Director, PEPI, expressed his appreciation for the partnership, saying, “Thank you to the Texas Advocacy Project and their Backpacks for Hope program volunteers for their great work. We enjoyed the activity while helping kids prepare for the next school year.” Special thanks to Ashley Womack, Alpha II's CEO and a TAP board member, for connecting us with this impactful initiative.
