Nicola Barbini

Mr. Barbini is an expert in developing and executing value creation plans, driving operational transformations, leading post-merger integrations, and assessing operating models to validate key financial and operational drivers as well as the scalability and achievability of forecast profitability.
Mr. Barbini has worked with clients on numerous cross-border projects and in various industries, including business services, technology, retail and consumer, education, healthcare, and industrials. His notable assignments at A&M include leading engagements on behalf of private equity sponsors, including AEA Investors, Bain Capital, Cinven, KKR, PAI Partners, Permira, Public Investment Fund, TowerBrook, TPG, and Vitruvian Partners.
Prior to joining A&M in 2009, Mr. Barbini worked with the Royal Bank of Scotland in London, executing debt financing for leveraged buyout transactions backed by private equity sponsors. Mr. Barbini also helped develop the UK government’s Asset Protection Scheme, in which he valued the bank’s leveraged loan portfolio under different distress scenarios.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Barbini was part of PwC’s Transaction Services team in London, where he provided financial due diligence services to private equity clients.
Mr. Barbini earned an MBA (honors) from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. An Italian and British national, Mr. Barbini is fluent in English and Italian.
