Alasdair Walls is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLC in London. He brings more than 20 years of experience in workforce reward, executive compensation, performance, and people strategy. Having worked with over 300 client organisations globally, Mr. Walls’ notable assignments include developing a new reward strategy to support an organizational transformation at a global luxury automotive manufacturer; developing an industry-leading customer-centric, and sustainable reward model for a leading UK audiology retailer to help reset the culture and salesforce behaviours; and designing and implementing a reward strategy to underpin the restructuring of the organization and business model of a UK-listed construction company.  

Mr. Walls has also designed new performance management frameworks for a global telecoms company, a global consumer tech company, and a multi-national, strategic communications consulting firm. He has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including automotive, construction, e-commerce, energy (both hydrocarbon-based and renewables), e-gaming, hospitality, manufacturing, media, professional services, real estate, tech and utilities.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Walls spent nearly four years with Korn Ferry, in London, serving most recently as EMEA Leader of the Total Reward Advisory business and Global Head of Performance Management Advisory. In these roles, he led the significant growth of both practices and helped re-shape Korn Ferry’s propositions and thought leadership across both reward strategy and performance management.  

In addition to his consulting career with Deloitte, Kepler Associates, and Korn Ferry, Mr. Walls has held corporate roles, including global compensation and benefits roles at Transocean in Dubai and Houston and Senior Director and people strategy at a public investment fund’s giga project in Saudi Arabia.  

Mr. Walls earned a bachelor’s degree (Honours) in psychology from the University of Bath and studied corporate finance at London Business School. He is a currently a non-executive Board Observer for ATP Media and his thought leadership, insights, and views have been published in global media such as Benefits & Compensation International and World at Work.
