Amy Shi

Ms. Shi has extensive experience in revenue growth, large-scale performance improvement, operating model transformation and commercial due diligence. She has worked with founder-led businesses looking for exits, and with boards and executive teams of leading corporates with Australian $60+ billion in revenue.
Ms. Shi’s recent experience includes defining the strategic growth agenda (organic and inorganic) for a $5 billion omnichannel retailer, identifying a 5% increase in customer lifetime value with focus on digital, first-party data, loyalty, and new revenue streams. She also led the transformation office for a rapid Get Fit efficiency program to capture $200 million of run rate cost savings via process improvement, procurement, and automation investments. Previously, Ms. Shi transformed the pricing and promotions strategy for a direct-to-consumer retailer, reallocating 70% of promotional investment with 3x improvement in marketing ROI.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Shi was Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Woolworths Group, where she was responsible for annual strategy planning and developing long-term growth initiatives and implementation roadmaps across the group ecosystem. She led the rapid scaling of the e-commerce business during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, Ms. Shi spent eight years with McKinsey & Company in Sydney and New York as part of the Retail & Consumer Goods and Private Equity practices.
Ms. Shi earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce and laws from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She has contributed thought leadership to leading industry organisations, including the Consumer Brands Association.
