Oleg Anikin

Mr. Anikin has worked on projects in coal mining, hard rock mining and processing, fertilizers, oil and gas, retail, heavy machinery, and other industries in CIS, Europe, South Africa, and North America. His recent engagements include an operational turnaround project for a major steel maker in Central Asia, focusing on identification of production bottlenecks and developing and implementing measures to improve throughput.
Mr. Anikin has extensive experience delivering sustainable operational improvements for coal miners, both underground and open pit, increasing roadway advance rate, improving maintenance practices and equipment availability, improving efficiency of longwall moves, and transforming management systems. Typically, his teams improve the advance rate by 80+ percent and reduce longwall move time by more than 30 days.
Mr. Anikin has also led projects for a major gold mining company, delivering nearly 200 percent improvement in development rate at an underground mine, and developing a multi-site strategy for alternative energy solutions. For an international chemical company, he developed and implemented a flexible capital project management system, optimizing use of resources and assurance based on project size and complexity.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Anikin worked with Partners in Performance. Previously, he worked with McKinsey, Pharmacy Chain 36.6, and ICT Group.
Mr. Anikin earned a BBA from Bryant University and an MBA from Yale University. He is fluent in English and Russian.
