Igor Sadimenko is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Brisbane. He is Country Head for Performance Improvement in Australia and New Zealand, and also oversees the coordination for other key practices such as Infrastructure & Capital Advisory, Disputes and Investigations and Restructuring business units in Australia. Mr. Sadimenko brings more than 24 years of experience in large-scale business and technology transformation in the energy and resources sectors.
Mr. Sadimenko delivers operational and capital efficiency projects across the energy and utilities value chain, unregulated market entry studies, operating model design and implementation, and large-scale transformation delivery enabled by digital and operational technologies.
Mr. Sadimenko’s notable client engagements include a customer and digital transformation for a major energy entailer disrupting the Australian market with new energy products and services; delivering more than 15% OPEX savings for an Australian energy distribution and infrastructure business; and developing an energy transition strategy for a integrated utility in Asia that let it deliver on environmental and social governance ambition, market entry for new services and products (EVs, VPP, smart metering etc.) and their productivity agenda.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sadimenko spent 14 years as a Partner with EY and 10 years with Accenture as a Management Consultant leading some of the largest transformations in Oceania, APAC and South Africa. At EY, Mr. Sadimenko led the Energy and Resources sector across Australia and New Zealand and EY Net Zero Center, a multi-disciplinary business unit tackling major government, energy, manufacturing and infrastructure clients’ decarbonization and energy transition opportunities.
Mr. Sadimenko earned a bachelor’s degree in strategic management and information technology (honours) from Rhodes University. He recently completed a sustainability course at the University of Cambridge. Mr. Sadimenko is a frequent speaker at energy and resources conferences and has contributed to industry publications on a range of energy transition topics.
