Kevin Martin

With more than 25 years of transaction, strategy and finance experience, Mr. Martin has led over 250 transactions for Fortune 250 clients and large private equity firms with enterprise values from $50 million to $15+ billion. He advises clients on a variety of transaction strategies, including mergers, acquisitions, consolidations/roll-ups, divestitures, carve-outs, recapitalizations, private investment in public companies and minority stakes.
Mr. Martin has led domestic and cross-border transactions and brings extensive experience in the consumer and retail, technology, industrials, professional services and aerospace and defense industries. His notable recent engagements include leading a financial team in a $2.9 billion distribution and retail transaction; leading a significant tuck-in acquisition (financial, tax, information technology and human resource due diligence) for a global distribution business; and leading multi-function due diligence on a $4 billion global carve-out of a consumer goods business.
Previously, Mr. Martin directed multiple teams on a $1 billion home products transaction; led overall due diligence on an $8 billion technology carve-out with a target company operating in 60+ countries; led financial due diligence for a $280 million apparel and retail (~400 stores) transaction; and provided due diligence services on an apparel transaction with a target company revenue of $400+ million and 100+ retail locations.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Martin spent nearly 20 years executing transactions as a Partner at two Big Four accounting firms in New York City and Washington, D.C. Most recently, he was part of the U.S. leadership team and Leader of the Consumer and Retail industry team for the Deal Advisory and Strategy business.
Mr. Martin earned a BBA (concentration in accounting) from West Virginia University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and the Virginia Board of Accountancy.
