With over 20 years of operations experience, Mr. Sandate has designed and led large complex programs across various industries, including aerospace and defense, contracting services, chemicals, consumer packaged goods, metals and mining, and energy. He served in an interim operations improvement role for PE portfolio testing and inspection for a company failing to meet EBITDA targets and identified opportunities to improve profitability through improved forecasting, planning and scheduling, and execution. Mr. Sandate also designed and installed sales and operation planning processes, leveraged Lean/Six Sigma/RCM tools (SIPOC, VSM, Productions Loss Accounting System, Visual factory & Gemba, FMEA, etc.) at the shop-floor level. 

Previously, Mr. Sandate served as Interim General Manager for mechanical electrical plumbing/fire protection for new and retrofit construction. He executed on $3 million in cost-out through reduction-in-force, integrated affiliate entities, redesigned organizational structures, and improved liquidity. Mr. Sandate also served as Interim Chief of Staff to the COO for a major student transportation business in North America, leading efforts to return bus route volume to pre-COVID-19 levels.

In addition, Mr. Sandate designed and led multiple large-scale programs for a PE portfolio aerospace company to deliver sustainable financial and operational results across all business units, significantly increasing on-time delivery and cutting $20+ million in costs through organizational effectiveness design and implementation, strategic sourcing and procurement, and optimized end-to-end processes. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sandate was a transformation leader for top consultancies and founded a boutique consultancy in which he served in interim management roles for small-to-medium sized business. He is also a USAF intelligence veteran.

Mr. Sandate earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, a Project Management Professional certificate from Syracuse University, and a Mergers & Acquisition certificate from Columbia Business School.
