Adam Paxton

Mr. Paxton works with businesses of all sizes, ranging from large public companies to small owner-managed businesses, in stressed and distressed situations. His work often includes hands on support to quickly stabilise and preserve value in businesses, identify the options available, improve stakeholder communication and deliver tailored restructuring solutions. He also works extensively with financial investors and creditors of distressed businesses, providing independent advice to maximise investment value or minimise lending risk.
Mr. Paxton has worked across many industries, including energy, infrastructure, consumer goods, retail, logistics, hospitality, technology, banking and aviation. He also has a strong focus on the real estate sector, having acted for lenders to large offices, shopping centres and retail parks.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Paxton was a Managing Director with Alantra’s Corporate Portfolio Advisory team in London. He led a team of c.25 specialists focused on the analysis, pricing and structuring of non-performing loan transactions and acted as lead sell-side or buy-side advisor in 20+ large and complex deals.
Previously, Mr. Paxton spent 12 months as a secondee in Anglo Irish Bank (now Irish Bank Resolution Corporation), managing a portfolio of distressed and non-performing loans.
Mr. Paxton earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science (first class) from the University of Nottingham. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the CFA Institute and a licensed Insolvency Practioner.
