Arcoprovo Mitra
At A&M, Mr. Mitra has been involved in various delayed capital projects, advising clients in mitigating project delays. He has also been deposed in multiple complex construction arbitrations and dispute resolution boards as an expert on delay, quantum, and technical matters.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mitra spent seven years with two Big Four companies, serving most recently as a Director focused on construction claims and disputes. Previously, he served as Head of Planning and Contracts in various construction companies for over a decade.
Over his two-decade long stint in the construction industry, Mr. Mitra has worked across geographies covering India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Mr. Mitra earned a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Jadavpur University, India, and a master’s degree in construction project management from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (FIE) in India, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb), and a member of the Society of Construction Law UK. An Indian national, Mr. Mitra is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali.
