Matthew Sheldon

With more than 25 years of advisory experience focused on healthcare and life sciences, Mr. Sheldon’s cross-functional, cross-industry background helps him lead transformative programs focused on performance reinvigoration and financial turnaround and help clients navigate the complexities of challenging markets. He has also worked with clients in the technology, communications, financial services, consumer products and services, and retail industries.
Mr. Sheldon’s notable engagements in life sciences and healthcare include advising four of the top 15 pharma companies on next-generation growth strategies and operational effectiveness; developing integrated commercial growth strategies built on physician and patient segmentation and delivering insight-led marketing, sales and medical strategies; and devising patient-centered M&A/joint-venture growth strategies focused on building portfolio synergies around specific patient populations.
Mr. Sheldon also integrated real-time and alternative data to power commercial execution with leading digital strategies; led multiple private equity owned turnaround programs using analytically powered operational efficiencies with savings reinvestment in viable growth markets, products and platforms; and drove over $100 million in operational savings for a leading medical device manufacturer/service provider through improved activity-based costing algorithms and optimization of distribution center footprint.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sheldon served as Managing Director and Chief Analytics Officer for the CEO and Enterprise Strategy practice at Accenture (NYSE: ACN). Previously, he served on the Leadership Team with Axia, a boutique strategy consulting firm acquired by Accenture in 2015. Mr. Sheldon also worked as a senior Strategy Consultant with Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte).
Mr. Sheldon earned a bachelor’s degree in economics (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Northwestern University.
