George Collins is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in Melbourne. He leads the Global Transaction Analytics team in Australia.

Mr. Collins brings extensive experience in data analytics, financial due diligence and value creation throughout the deal lifecycle and offers crucial insights to strategic buyers and sellers. He employs advanced analytics techniques to ensure faster, deeper insights that support well-informed investment decisions.

Mr. Collins has advised businesses in diverse industries, from retail and hospitality to healthcare, financial services, energy, education and pharmaceuticals. He has worked on projects across multiple markets, including the UK, US, Italy, Nordics, and Australia.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Collins spent eight years with KPMG in London as a founding member of their UK Deal Analytics team; more recently he worked in Melbourne. He has led deal analytics projects on 100+ M&A transactions and value creation projects. His notable deal analytics engagements include Potentia Capital’s acquisition of Nitro Software; assistance to Fletcher Building Limited on their sale of Tradelink; Next Capital’s acquisition of Scentia; Charterhouse Capital Partners’ sale of SLR Consulting; assistance for Lily’s Kitchen ahead of their sale to Nestlé Purina; and the sale of Yorkshire Water Business Services and Three-Sixty to Business Stream.

Additionally, Mr. Collins worked with a top UK e-retailer and credit provider in their preparation for sale. He has also assisted FTSE-listed casual dining chains and privately owned retailers in finding value in their site portfolios by leveraging advanced geospatial analytics.

Mr. Collins earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science from the University of Bath. He is a CFA level 2 holder.
