Athens, Greece – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) today announced the hiring of two Senior Directors in its Athens office. Victor Papaconstantinou will join the firm’s Corporate Restructuring practice and Konstadinos Georgiakos its Real Estate Advisory Services. This move comes as part of A&M’s ongoing pan-European expansion and their commitment to create value for their clients in Greece.

 

Mr. Papaconstantinou brings more than 20 years of experience, having held management and leadership roles within industry and consulting.  Prior to joining A&M, he was at Hellenic Petroleum where he served as CEO of the refinery in Skopje (FYROM), Director of the International Division and Senior Director of the Petrochemicals Division. Additionally, he was Group CFO at Maillis Group and Finance Director at Air Liquide Hellas. He has also spent close to 10 years with PWC within the corporate finance practice.

 

Mr. Georgiakos brings 18 years of real estate experience, during which he has successfully completed numerous real estate transactions, both in Greece and internationally. Prior to joining A&M, he was the Investments Director and at a later stage the Structured Finance Director at Grivalia Properties, the second largest listed REIC in Greece. He was also the Head of Real Estate Structured Finance at Eurobank Ergasias, Transaction Manager in the European Real Estate Finance/CMBS team at Credit Suisse in the U.K., and Real Estate Consultant in BlackHeath Financial LLC and in Fieldstone Advisors LLC in N.Y.
