Mr. Tang specializes in M&A tax advisory services for private equity funds and corporates, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring, tax review of transaction documentation, and the design of efficient management incentive arrangements. With more than 13 years of combined tax and legal experience, he has particular expertise in advising on technology and software transactions.

Mr. Tang primarily advises a broad range of Australian and international private equity funds, including both sector-agnostic investors (spanning traditional buyouts, mid-market transactions, secured assets, and turnaround or restructuring strategies) and sector-focused funds, with significant experience across software and technology, healthcare, and agriculture. Mr. Tang also advises listed corporates on a range of matters, including restructures, carve-outs, strategic acquisitions, and recapitalizations. His experience spans the full transaction lifecycle, including buy-side transactions (public-to-privates, buyouts, and growth investments) and sell-side transactions (trade sales and initial public offerings), as well as carve-outs, debt restructures, and capital distributions and returns.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Tang worked at a Big Four firm in Australia within the International Tax and Transaction Services practice.

Mr. Tang earned a BCom in finance and an LLB from the University of New South Wales, as well as an LLM from the University of Sydney. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
