Mr. Piplani leverages technologies like artificial intelligence, cloud (transformation, cost economics), network (optimization, modernization and monetization), and automation in his designs and models. With more than 20 years of digital consulting and IT transformation experience, he has delivered strategic outcomes in engagements requiring fast and agile turnarounds for cost or restructuring. He has worked with clients in various industries, including energy and utilities, oil and gas, and healthcare and life sciences.
Mr. Piplani’s notable assignments include a Houston-based oil and gas company that was re-emerging from bankruptcy. He managed a technology transformation and delivered more than 30% cost savings in op-ex costs. At a California-based healthcare company looking for growth, Mr. Piplani designed a scale-up model to help increase branch count by five times. A unique branch-as-a-service model was designed to bring reliability in digital and technology outcomes, schedule and budget.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Piplani spent over two decades with Infosys Technologies Ltd. and Tech Mahindra, serving most recently as Vice President of Energy & Utilities. He set up and ran the Utilities practice and led engagements at super-major oil and gas and leading electric and renewables companies.
Mr. Piplani earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical design and automation engineering from the National Institute of Technology and an MBA (finance and marketing focus) from XLRI.
