Mr. Young’s notable engagements include helping a leading logistics service provider design and stand-up a new operating model with clear decision rights and performance measures, significantly reducing internal friction and increasing speed of decision making. He also created a product-centric segmentation that classified healthcare products based on logistics and supply chain complexity to enable a new go-to-market strategy anchored on targeted, solution-based selling methods.
Previously, Mr. Young supported the development of a future-growth strategy to help a fortune 50 client grow its logistics business by 11.5 percent CAGR, resulting in a significant share gain over a five-year period. He also helped a leading medical devices company realize $10 million in savings over a five-year period by recommending a network consolidation based on tax, operating costs, and service-level tradeoffs between two European distribution centers.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Young was a Management Consultant with EY-Parthenon’s Corporate & Growth Strategy practice, where he focused on strategy development and execution for large industrial clients. He also brings eight years of industry experience as a Supply Chain & Distribution leader for CJ Logistics America (formally DSC Logistics) and Regional Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain for Levy Restaurants, a leading U.S. foodservice company.
Mr. Young earned a BBA in supply chain management from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
