Mr. Kirwan has a track record of leading complex procurement and supply chain programmes, delivering tangible benefits for clients across multiple industries. His notable engagements include leading a global team in a strategic sourcing project for a U.S. based automotive parts manufacturer from opportunity assessment to savings execution, identifying and delivering over $70 million across multiple spend categories and business units.
Mr. Kirwan also conducted a procurement assessment in a firm-wide cost optimisation programme of an oil and gas company, identifying procurement savings of $50+ million within six weeks. He led a team designing a future-state operating model and organisation structure for the indirect purchasing function of a global aerospace and defence company and led a supply chain optimisation programme for a European food manufacturer that identified performance improvement initiatives between €120 million and €170 million over five years.
Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Kirwan held procurement roles at BMW Group and JCB Excavators and was the Procurement Director of an automotive Tier 1 supplier.
Mr. Kirwan earned a bachelor’s degree in international business and a master’s degree in procurement management. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
