Amanda Bowker is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Boston. She specializes in global transaction tax and serves as a state and local tax transaction advisor to private equity funds and corporate strategic clients.

With more than 12 years of experience, Ms. Bowker has significant experience with tax structuring and planning, addressing issues such as legal entity selection, survival of state tax attributes, unitary group filing requirements, and post transaction integration and risk mitigation. 

Ms. Bowker has worked with clients in various industries, including software and technology, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunication, and infrastructure.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Bowker was a Managing Director in KPMG’s SALT M&A Tax Practice in Boston. 

Ms. Bowker earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Delaware, a J.D. from the New England School of Law, and an LLM in taxation from University of Washington School of Law. She serves on the board of advisors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay.
